四虎影视鈥檚 Division of Anatomy and Physiology offers an innovative graduate program leading to a certificate in Anatomy and Physiology.
This program provides an understanding of human anatomy and physiology at a level required for clinical medicine. Graduates of the program will be able to relate basic science knowledge to clinical scenarios and will be prepared to develop instructional and assessment plans utilizing best practices and appropriate pedagogy for learners at the secondary and post-secondary levels.
The Graduate Certificate in Anatomy & Physiology may be used as a foundation for further education in the health professions, for further graduate study and/or research in the discipline, or for educators at the secondary or post-secondary level who require graduate-level credits to teach Anatomy and Physiology. 听
This mostly online program is supplemented by face-to-face laboratory experiences.

Career Possibilities
There is currently a shortage of instructors credentialed to teach Anatomy and Physiology at the secondary and post-secondary levels. Many school divisions are not able to offer anatomy and physiology courses at the high school level due to the lack of a qualified instructor. Individuals interested in a career as a health care provider have a wide range of career opportunities. The demand for health care providers is expected to continue to grow. Compensation is dependent on the chosen profession.
Classes
四虎影视鈥檚 Graduate Program in Anatomy and Physiology is delivered mostly online. Students will attend the majority of classes and learn in an online environment that will be engaging and interactive. Online instruction is supplemented with a required residency component for the laboratory coursework. This will provide students the opportunity to view human cadaveric specimens and participate in dissection.
Teachers who complete this program will meet the necessary credit hours in the discipline (18) that, when accompanied by a master鈥檚 degree, satisfy the requirements to teach courses at the high school and/or community college level. In addition, this program could be attractive to teachers who don’t already possess a master’s degree and are interested in teaching anatomy. With an additional four courses, students are able to earn the Masters of Education, Individualized Focus degree. 听
This program is also excellent preparation for individuals interested in pursuing a graduate degree in the health professions or a research-intensive degree program as preparation for the admissions process.

Application Information
Program Prerequisites
- Completion of a bachelor鈥檚 degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of 4 full semester courses (12-16 credits) in Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics. A General Biology sequence (8 credits) and/or General Chemistry sequence (8 credits) is preferred.
All applicants seeking enrollment in the Certificate in Anatomy & Physiology program must:
- Complete a graduate application for admission.
- Provide official transcripts from all institutions of higher education previously attended.
- Provide two letters of recommendation.
