MSN
Family Nurse Practitioner
The Family Nurse Practitioner聽track is designed to provide the bachelor’s level educated nurse with the necessary education, competencies, and experiences to assume the role of a primary health care provider in a variety of clinical settings. Didactic and clinical course content focuses on assessment and management of health promotion and health maintenance strategies, risk reduction, common acute and chronic alterations in health status for individuals and families across the lifespan.聽 Synchronous online courses meet one day each week. An immersion experience may be required during the fall and spring semesters at the Winchester main campus.
Nurse-Midwifery
The Nurse-Midwifery Track is designed to provide the student with the necessary skills and knowledge to assume the role of a Certified Nurse-Midwife in a variety of clinical settings. Didactic and clinical course content focuses on role development, and the assessment and management of an individual’s health (antepartal, intrapartal, postpartal and neonatal periods, as well as primary care) throughout the lifespan. Synchronous online courses meet one day each week.聽 Students attend one four-day immersion each fall and spring semester of the clinical year at the Winchester main campus.
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
The Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner (PMHNP) track is designed for Registered Nurses who hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree.聽 The program consists of聽 didactic and clinical course content essential to providing differential diagnosis, health promotion, psychotropic medication management and psychotherapy services across the lifespan in both hospital and community settings.聽 Synchronous online courses meet one day each week. An immersion experience may be required during the fall and spring semesters at the Winchester main campus.
